The UGA at Oxford Program is proud to offer a Junemester Program at Oxford. The program offers students the opportunity to travel and learn while living in Oxford. The University of Oxford whose rich academic traditions date as far back as at least the late-12th century has been playing host to foreign students since 1190. Today, nearly two hundred and twenty students a year from four of UGA’s largest colleges (Arts and Sciences, Business, Journalism and Mass Communication, Public and International Affairs) live and study in this bustling, modern University city whose dreaming medieval spires recall nearly a thousand years of political intrigue, religious rebellion, civil strife and regicide, as well as innovation, education, and scientific achievement. Famous Oxford graduates include Oscar Wilde, author, Lawrence of Arabia, soldier and diplomat, Indira Gandhi and Manmohan Singh, Prime Ministers of India, Stephen Hawking, theoretical physicist, Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair and Theresa May, British Prime Ministers, and Tim Berners Lee, inventor of the internet.
Students will be housed at the University of Georgia's Centre in North Oxford. The large, elegantly-furnished rooms hold two to four students, and most have private bathrooms.
Approximately $2,100 plus six hours in-state UGA tuition and fees. The cost of the program will cover housing at the UGA at Oxford, class excursions, study abroad insurance, and program activities. Additional expenses include cost of personal items, airfare, and meals. Students are responsible for making their own flight arrangements. Transient students are subject to an additional admission fee assessed by UGA Undergraduate Admissions.
The Franklin Junemester Program is open to all majors! Enrollment will be limited to well-qualified students. Students are required to submit applications by the deadline; applications will be accepted after this date only if all positions are not filled. Application forms and other information are available through the UGA at Oxford website homepage.
Students can earn six semester hours of credit. Course work will begin on May 25 and students will depart Oxford on June 29. During the eighteen days that students are in residence in Oxford, they will be constantly on the go visiting sites related to major themes in their courses. Much of the work will take place via e-mail and online course work.

Trinity College was founded in 1555 and is one of Oxford's most distinguished colleges. It is ideally located in the center of the city and has been praised by students for its architectural beauty and friendly atmosphere. All students, regardless of accomodation location, will have access to the Trinity College dining hall, common rooms, computer labs, and college pub.

Additional expenses include cost of personal items and travel. A voluntary group-rate flight is available. (Transient students are subject to an additional admission fee assessed by UGA Undergraduate Admissions.)
